This is the everyday story of Mamahenn and her two little chicks... Parker is four and is into all things boy! Chickdoll is three going on 21! Hope that this blog makes you see the sunny side of life!
We have been sick since Saturday nite and just cannot seem to break the fever or sniffles! Gigi was the better of the two and seemed to be getting better... no fever yesterday but still the runny nose and congestion. She had a dentist appointment and I hated to cancel..again! So we went and she had ZERO cavities and her teeth look so pearly white!! That is until she took a nose dive out of the back seat of the car and onto the pavement! She busted p her nose, face and lip and tooth! If you thought that you heard a chilling scream last nite it was probably Gigi from Alabama. That girl has a set of lungs! When we got her inside to JenJen's we noticed that the tooth went from in to out and then a call to the dentist and it was back in! And then this morning it is in but very loose. Hopefully it will "tighten up" and not change colors! So here are our pics from this am! The sick- Parker
It is truly raining and pouring outside! I should have opted for cuter raincoats and rain boots and less cute clothes for the kids because we are in our "rain gear" more that anything else! Also- My car broke again yesterday. We think that it is the same thing that happened in June. Remember... I was without a car for a month! I had just deposited a check into the savings accout and thought thank you Father that that check will help us if things get tough. Note: I am a bit of a financial worrier! And then the next day- BAM my car broke! Todd is leaving to go back out of town on Sunday! I cant drive his police car nor his truck. I'll be here for a long time! When it rains it pours! On a better note!
Well- Parker's class had a field trip to Old Baker Farm to the Pumpkin Patch last Wednesday! It had been raining and is still raining! We put on our mud jeans and mud boots and headed out! I enjoyed meeting his class and spending time with Parker in his element! Thanks to Pap he loves Farms!! You can just tell how excited he was in these pics!
Picking cotton!!! Parker put the cotton in his pocket to save and show Pap! However, I washed his muddy jeans and had cotton all over my clean clothes!
The farm had this cool trough to wash your hands in! Water"rained" down from above and it was the coolest! Pap you need one of these!
And then there was lunch in the barn!! Yummy!
Hay Bale Maze!!! Parker had so much fun running and figuring out how to get to the end!
I know that I have lost my mind... but what is new!!! I have created a Halloween tree! I just had so many little Halloween creatures and decor and decided that it would look bast grouped together on a tree! I was inspired by a fall tree at Hobby Lobby but opted for the black and orange effect! I think it turned out quite cute, if I might say so! The kids love, so I am sold on it!
Todd and Mel... the younger and smaller version!! Yes... they are playing Todd and Mel these days and impersonating us perfectly!! It is so fun to see them play ans play so well together!! They make us laugh so hard as they are watching our every move and soaking it all in. Also introducing our baby in this picture! This is Ford( um wonder where that came from?!) and it he has become literally our third child!! Gigi is such a good mom to her baby but it is the realistic approach she has with the baby that is wearing me out. We have to be quiet when the baby is napping, bath the baby when it is bath time and now it sits at the table with us when we eat! Wow! And introducing... cooler weather and the need for comfy warm and snuggley PJ's!!! Thanks Mimi!! I think that they would probably wear them even if it were not colder outside!! Happy Fall!!!
Wow! Where did the summer go? By way too fast! I had every intention of capturing our summer and now in the blink of an eye it is over, and life is busier than ever. I am working four nites a week and stay very consumed with the tasks that go along with work. I am overwhelmed with the duties of being a Mom, Wife, Daughter, Sister and Friend at the moment. Balance is something I am learning during all of this. The kids are in school. Parker is going 3 days a week and Gigi 2 days a week. I try to tend to the "maid and housekeeping" duties while they are at school! I do my best... that is all I can say! We are so excited that Fall is here! We wish that the rain would go away, the sun would come out, that cooler weather would roll in and the windows could go open! Soon... oh so very soon! So I am going to do better with updating... I know I always say it and never do. Oh well- aren't intention good for anything?
Here are some Pictures of the kids on their frist day at school!
Blowing out the candles and making wishes!!! Parker's wish- "He will not be a fireman"!! Gigi's wish- "He have pink passy!!"
Ford himself(inplastic form) came to the Party!! Gigi came around the corner and there she was saying, "Look Mom Ford's here!!!" Then Parker had to have a "Ford" too!
Birthday Cards that the kids made Ford! Gigi drew a diamond on hers and Parker told him he was a fireman! Seeing a theme here?!
Today our first cousin was born- Alexander Ford Hall!! He weighed in at 7 lbs and 20 1/2 inches long!! We are so glad that he is here and that Mommy, Todd's sister Meaghan, and baby are doing well- tired she said but well! So in his honor and the fact that my kids are so excited... We had a birthday party for him! Complete with cards to him the kids made, cupcakes, party hats, candles and decorations! It was so fun and is just a substitute for the real party we will have when we get to see him next week! Gigi is by far the most excited one. She has been for a while now. She has been praying for Baby Ford for months now and even named her baby "Ford"! She is such a little momma and is so excited to meet him and hold him. And Parker just wanted to know if he was a fireman!! So here's to our cousin... Happy Birthday Ford!
I am a busy mommy with two little ones who challenge me each day but are the joys of my life! I cannot imagine life without watching, exploring, guiding and teaching them. It is always chaos!!
